I'm in the travel companion and received a call from a fella with a 92. He's having fuel related issues. Truck lacks power going up hills, will not start with out priming the lift pump, doesn't want to idle. I told him he's probably sucking air some where and to check his lines closely. First gen trucks are not my forte' so if I missed anything specific to these trucks, please chime in. He's at a camp ground in Gardener, MT. I'm betting that this problem will make him walk if he doesn't find it soon. Thanks!

I would say that he has a cracked fuel line somewhere on the system . I wouldnstart by looking for any kind of fuel drip under truck then try to pin point it from there .

I had a similar problem in my 92 recently. It got hard to start in the mornings (80deg at the time, so it wasnt cold), and ran poorly. It turned out to be my return line going into the injector pump. Replaced it, and truck is now back to normal.
