Question for you western Canadians. I have been reading in ATV magazines about riding atv's in Canada. There was a lot of nice looking country in the pictures. Everybody had guided trips, but then in the states, I have read about guided trips, but you still can ride without guides, here. Do people from other countries have to have guides, in order to ride in Canada. If not, are there marked trails or maps to show people where to ride and where not to ride. Where would you get this information.

I have no plans on paying someone, the amount of money they want, to be my guide. We travel all over the western US, riding trails systems, sand dunes, etc.

Thanks
Rodney

Rodney,

You don't need a guide to ride in Canada. Not in BC anyways. I believe in Alberta it needs to be licenced but that may only be for residents. I am not to sure about trails, but the area you may be planning on going in should have a Tourism info center that should be able to help!

I ride my ATV all over this area.
