Im up for that, I'll be there anyway I plan on pulling and that go's the same for Thunder in Muncie and from the sounds of it already quite a few people from this area will be going to Muncie.

Too bad I will not be able to make this event for another 10 years yet. For some reason, its scheduled on the weekend before school starts for the kids, at least here in PA. Guess I will keep on buying the videos for now.

Id like to get the michagan meet and greet folks and other TDR members together with the ohio folks still along way off but we'll keep it alive

All the major hotels in Terre Haute are in the same general area, maybe about a mile from the fairgrounds. There are quite a few of them to choose from as well.

Cool An Inside man. .

Can you let me know whats close so I can make reservations Id like an avarage hotel dont need caviar but Id like a indoor pool for the boy.

If we can get a bunch of tdr'ers who want the same hotel we may get a price break??

DM its every man for himself when it comes to getting a hotel room for Scheid.

May I suggest that you get a room for yourself as EARLY as possible. My Vice-Pres. of my KYDTR club had booked a "group" of rooms a month or so in advance last year. They called him back like a week or two before Scheid to tell him he could only have 2... . one for him one for his buddy! :-{}

I almost had to sleep in my truck last year just to be able to go but by goodness I would have done it!! :-laf Oo.

Most of the action @ Scheid is in the parking lots of the Drury Inn hotel and the one adjoined to it (I forget the name). I stayed in the Drury Inn last year and plan to again this year, its a nice hotel with a decent cost.

But like I said GET A ROOM EARLY! Because once the rush starts you'll be lucky to get a room!

Im game, and im sure a few others will get around, what hotels are the closest?

when is T. I. M. ? have the came up with a new name yet? dates?

The one next to Drury is the Pear Tree. Right behind it is the Knights Inn. There is also a Signature Inn, Fairfeild Inn, Motel Six, Dollar Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and they are all in the same general area as Drury. Down the road is a Days Inn and there are some other various cheap hotels around there as well.

I checked the phone book to see if I missed any and it says we have an Econo Lodge as well around that large group, although I cant think of where it is.

I used to deliver pizzas, so I had to go to many of these hotels often. Most of them are nice with the exception of the cheaper local ones and Days Inn has seen better days but it is decent. As far as indoor pool I know that Fairfield or Signature has one for sure as well as Holiday definitely. The Holiday Inn also has a hot tub and steam room, it's pretty nice.

Pear Tree Inn. I stayed at drury year before last and at hoilday inn last year. I'm going to book at Drury again this year. Hopefully I won't be by myself this year, when noones watching over me I have this habit of going to Scheids product booth and buying things, then spend the day cursing at a HD charge air- intercooler boot. #@$%! and missing ALL the qualifiers. :(

Anyone know the address of the place where events are held????

Im sure yahoo wont take fairgrounds in Terre Haute

""The Holiday Inn also has a hot tub and steam room, it's pretty nice. ""

I cant wait Ive never been to anything bigger than a county fair when it comes to diesel pulls

DM

Is there a place I can park my 32' 5'er? Reasonbly close? Wife likes to take the trailer so it sould be an easy win if we take the rollin' home with us.

5ver parking/camping available right there at the fairgrounds. KOA 4 miles down the interstate at exit 11, fair is at exit 7. August in TH very very hot, not much shade at Scheids event. Bring plenty of sunblock. Smoke nazi's are out in force when this event rolls around.

If you park right in the fence row by the trees you get shade for half the day in the morning and the sun in the afternoon. But if you are at all the pulls and stuff anyway it may not matter to you.

I noticed people were showing up as early as I think Wednesday at the fairgrounds so you would have be get there about Thursday at the latest to get a shady spot?

I checked out the KOA. That looks ok. Im not fighting to get there for a spot that sucks anyway. Plus if sweetie doesnt want to go KOA has a pool and things to entertain.
