Did anyone hear about the aurora 3000 yet. Im looking at getting this turbo and i was wanting to get some feedback. Thanks a lot guys.

I run the Aurora 2000 and I like it, but I also live at 6000+ elevation so I cant go much bigger. I have plans to step up to the 3000 soon. I have heard that some trucks at sea level are running the 4000 and 5000 with great results.

Hope this helps

Would the 3000 be about the same or smaller than, say, a HTT 62/12? I'm looking for something with good spool, mileage but support about 450 hp.

From ATS's site -

The Aurora 3000 turbo charger is a perfect choice for power levels of 350 to 450 Rear Wheel Horse Power. If you are thinking about or have already added a power module to your truck this is the perfect turbo to control the extreme exhaust temperatures that the additional fuel causes. The Aurora 3000 turbo charger provides quick response with fantastic midrange torque and a nice top end power level. Matching a turbo charger can be difficult; the Aurora 3000 makes the choice very easy due to its wide compressor map. If you are looking for a turbo charger that will keep up with increased amounts of fuel you don't have to look any farther, the Aurora 3000 turbine section reduces back pressure and has a huge compressor housing providing massive air volume.

Its Smaller than the HTT 62. Should spool up pretty good, but with a ceiling of 450hp, compared to the HTT Super Stock62's 575.

Mcescolini- with the addition of a Smarty I think you should have no problem spooling this turbo at your altitude. If you are considering the 3000, I would try it first, and if you need more bottom end look at a Smarty or maybe a little bigger injector. Looks like you have 275's right now, right?
