How do you guys with autos hook up your E Brakes so they function correctly and not destroy the trans? Looking at a truck that has a brake and "supposedly" nothing was done to the trans.

i have a pacbrake on my truck with auto and it came with a ats triple loc commander. it locks up the torque converter and makes the brake very effective. talk to jelag hes a pacbrake dealer and could help you out. robert

Our year model of trucks do not have a lockup converter. An exhaust brake would be a waste of money without upgrading to a trans with a lockup converter.

On the truck your looking at. About all it does is add weight to it. It does nothing to help slow it down. If you buy the truck about all the exhaust brake is good for is trading material. Someone with a stick shift would buy it.

Thats what I'm thinking, IF I get this truck here what I have in mind is cleaning it up( doesn't look like it'll take much) and try to turn it out here, currently in Ks. There is a really nice W250 from the site here I wouldn't mind taking over when it comes up for sale! ;)
