Aloha, here on Kauai the average speed limit is 25 to 35 mph.

Unfortunatly my truck cant decide what gear to shift to when i get around those speeds. Is it nomarl for my transmission to hunt around that speed, or is it that i need to take it up to about 40 and break the law. Im getting tired of manually shifting my automatic. Also my LSD seems to lock and unlock repeatedly when i am in deep sand, is this normal also. Sorry to ask such stupid questions. This is my 2nd dodge but my first diesel. I am loving every minute of it though. Getting anxious for some mods though, im trying to be strong but you guys arent helping!!! Malama Kai, Malama Aina

Not a stupid question. Mine does the same thing. I think it's the TC going in and out of lock-up. I had it reflashed once already per the TSB, but I think it needs more attention. I've also read that the throttle position sensor could be the problem. In or out of OD has no affect on this phenomena.

I know this doesn't help your question, but Hawaii??... I was there about a month ago. You gotta get a 4" exhaust and a "chip". I sooooo wished I could have had my truck there to show up them rice burners with the huge exhausts. Then you could make more noise than them and blow by em doing it ;) oh yeah... you didn't want to bomb yet:( ... ah well you'll give in, just a warning though... once you start, you can't stop.

Aboout the lsd, do you mean it hops, or only one wheel spins. If only one wheel spins then it could have too much friction modifier in it. If that's the case you could change the fluid and add the right amount of modifier.
