Auto door lock ???????

My 05 quad cab developed a rather disturbing popping sound in the left rear door speaker when the auto lock, locks the doors! This also happens when I lock or unlock the doors with the switch in the front doors ( either door ). #@$%! What is the the problem and what can be done? Thanks ahead of time!!

It sounds like the door lock and speaker wires have shorted together.



The wires have broken three times on my left rear door, but never shorted together. yours is the first I have read about.

skip down to the 5th post where i put in the pictures.



in august, i had to completely rewire the section between the door post connector and inside the door. the crimp connectors actually made it worse, because there was even less flexibility. It wasn't that difficult.
