Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Auto Down Shift ?

Just wondering what can be done, if anything, to get the transmission to downshift at higher speeds. Mine doesn't shift from drive to 2nd until around 1100 rpm's (25 mph). I know, call Bill K. but thought I'd ask here first and not bother him unless I need to. The way it is now isn't a big problem, but when at the described condition, I tend to have more of a stumble in the fueling. I can do it manually, but prefer the transmission to do the deed. Thanks in advance.

Auto downshift

I note from your sig that you do not have the Smart Controller. It is adjustable up or down from 50 mph. I'm not sure how far it will go either way. I have mine set for local driving at about 46 and 52 for hwy or towing.



If that is the only feature you need, there should be a way to install a mystery switch. "Bill K would know".
