Just received guages from Geno's. Open EGT gauge and noticed the needle is between 100-200 degree mark.
Is that normal, or is the gauge bad? Anybody who has same gauge please respond. as I don't want to go through the hassle of installing everything just to tear it apart.
Man this site is like having a mechanically inclined big brother around 24/7
Thanks for your quick responce. I also called Auto Meter and spoke to Chris, he said that it will 0 out once power is applied--something about the elctromagnet.
Thanks again--I guess I just paniced But I have been waiting a month--gauges on back order, and now that I have them the fear has really kicked in--ripping off the A-piller, painting the replacement, ripping apart the dash for the light wire (dimmer mode), drilling air horn & exhaust---OOHH, I won't sleep until its done--'cause every time I do something like this I ALWAYS break something--just ask my drag car
Hey Max, I have been working on mine too. (gauges that is). So far, it's really not that hard. A pillar pulls right off, its pretty well attached though. So does the dash, it too is a little tough in spots. I am doing all the drilling today.
