Auto to 6 Speed Decision

I need to make my final decision today on going back to a 6 speed. I had an 01 6 speed and traded for an 05. The 05 hasn't really grown on me. The dealer has found what I want, but I'm not sure about the G56.



How do you guys with the G56 like it?



My 01 with 4:10 rear got 22 mpg. What is the G56 getting with the 3:73?

I just turned 6k miles. Best tank to date has been 17. 8mpg. I'm averaging about 16. 9mpg. This is a stock 4x4 Megacab.

Yowch. My 05 is getting 21. 5.

27K, average around 17 mpg. If I kept it under 70 would be closer to 19. Pulls like nothing else in the world. scares the snott out of people when I powerslide turns thanks to the juice.

If you are worried about mileage keep the auto. If you are towing at 20k or less GCVW keep the auto.
