auto to manual!?

ive seen some guys do the 6 speed to auto, but is it possible to go from my 48re to a 6 speed? any help or info would be appreciated. new here as of saturday!

I just got done doing this swap on my 03, if you can't find somebody with the same year truck that you have that wants to swap with you, you will be money ahead to just have a bomb proof transmission built, the swap is extensive and would be really expensive. and you will need the other trucks ecm and abs modual. and complete engine wireing harness, fusebox harness. and alot more.

im in the process of stick to auto on my 12 valve, it is alot of work, and a donor truck is a must, I couldnt imagine trying to buy all those parts new!
