I recently ran into a situation where I found a supposed kit online that was to convert my auto 727 to a NV4500 in my 91 CTD 4x4. When I recieved the kit these following things I found wrong:
1. There was absolutly no bolts or instructions.
2. The NV4500 supplied was a 29 tooth spline, where the auto/transfer case shaft is a 23 spline. No coupler was provided.
3. The bellhousing to block adapter was completely wrong, including starter not bolting up.
4. Supplied transmission mount was for a different transmission all together, therefore no transmission mount.
5. No brackets were supplied to connect my transfer case linkage.
What the scam is after you call him about the parts, he tries to have the customer pay for the additional parts on top of the already steep 3500 dollars for the wrong kit.
The scary part is after I did some looking around, I found so far two other people who have had almost word for word problems with this shop. This shop has other buisiness that might be stiffing others in different areas. I highly recommend that unless money has no meaning to you, that you might want to pick a different transmission or wheels and tire shop when buying parts for Dodge diesels.
My email is -- email address removed --, I will reveal the name of the shop and contact person that scammed me and others, if you email. I am not trying to get revenge I just think someone should stop this person and his busineeses from ripping off honest hard working people who truely need thier trucks.
