I would appreciate some comments from those that have done it.



1) 5 speed or 6 speed?

2) Need to keep 4WD.

3) Approximate price.

4) How long ot do it?

5) Where was it done?

6) Satisfied?

7) If you had it do over, would you?

yes 4wd

roughly 4-5 grand all depends on clutch have heard of cheaper

about a week to round up all the parts

yes and no, for the way I am set up to pull-yes, no-I ordered it an automatic for a reason

ACoyle, give the guys at Auto Wurks a call (973-226-7800). They just finished an auto to 6 speed conversion, came out real sweet, according to Chris T.

Find someone with the same model truck as yours, and trade strait up, thats what I am doing in about 2 weeks, if all goes well. Costs nothing if all goes well. Costs will depend on how much you break during the swap. Just have the trucks sitting side by side, and do the swapping. I have a 95 model truck, so the wiring is probablt different, I have alot of info on that too, be glad to share it with you.
