Auto trans clunk when going to REVERSE

The transition seems to shift smoothly and goes into drive very quietly. But when I put into reverse I get a pretty loud clunk. Seems to work fine but doesn't sound good. Any thoughts?

Seeing as my brand new '15 model does this as well (and it's supposedly normal) I'd say it's nothing to worry about.

Are you positive it is the trans or is it in the drive line or rear differential. My 99 does the Clunk since new. It could be take up in the Ring and Pinion.

Hmmmm. Not sure. Need to do some more checking.

With wear on th etrans that is pretty normal. Dpends on how many pieces between the engine and the rear diff where slack could be.
