Auto Trans doesn't move in Rev. sometime?

Yesterday got into my truck started it, little idle for 15 seconds.

Put into reverse and didn't move thought that I was in N but it was in

reverse. Rev the engine and it didn't move until it was at 1100 RPM's.

Shifted to D and it still did try to move forward on it ohn, had to rev it a

little. Then shifted to R is moved just fine no more problems. Felt like

morning sickness. This happed to me couple of time in the last year,

thought that I was in N the one time, but I don't think so now.

Has any had that kind of problem with this trans?

Sounds like the converter drain back valve is leaking once in a while. It takes a few to maybe 30 seconds to refill the converter so it can hook back up. Try to avoid revving it up in gear if it does happen, just drop it in neutral for 20-30 seconds then back to drive or reverse. If it then feels like it is normal your good to go, otherwise repeat and it should fill by then. If you have not serviced the transmission lately it would be time to do it now.

I'm digressing from 6. 7 thread, but I've experienced the same thing on my 48RE. I won't waste my time with the dealer on it, but I'll mention it the next time I have to take my truck in for warranty work.

Like Sag2 stated, only try starting in N, then let it idle for a few. See if that stops your hesitation.

Thanks for the replies, never thought about maybe torque convertor draining down. Truck has been sitting for several weeks. I Just a little concerned that trans my have problems. Don't know alot about this trans. I'm going to CA next week on a trip. Going to the dealer this week to check a couple problems.

Need to see if it needs the new flash update, was flash last fall and new o2 sensors. Would like to see better fuel mileage, wouldn't we all.

PS the truck has only 10,000 mile on it.
