I just found a drip of trans fluid on the bottom the bellhousing. Auto trans is over filled 5/8 on the dipstick/cold. If I empty the over filled amount, will the drip stop? Or have I already ruined the seal? Thanks to all with experience.

Overfilled cold? How overfilled is it when hot? You won't have hurt the seal, but running it overfilled can cause foaming which can damage all sorts of other internal parts.

Drained enough trans fluid, trans dip stick shows safe level-transmission warm in Neutral. No more DRIP! Thank you for replies.
