I've had one on my 97 for a couple of years now and have had extremely good luck with it. I still change my fluid about every 15,000, but it's as nice & red as when new. I only need to take the pan off & change the internal filter about every other time. This spin on filter keeps everything so clean, the internal filter looks like new when I change it. I bought a "Cross" wood splitter return line filter & housing for about $25. 00 from Tractor Supply. It came with a 10 micron hydraulic filter and has a built in check valve. (with flow direction arrows)It flows 20 gpm, so there is little of no restriction. It had 3/4" pipe inlet/outlets. I got 3/4" to 1/2" barb fittings, to hook up to the hoses, and some good wide stainless hose clamps. It also has a 1/8" port for a temp probe too. I mounted mine behind the front bumper on the driver's side, and spliced it into the 1/2" rubber hose going TO the cooler. Make sure use use that line, and not the one coming OUT of the cooler in case you decide to monitor the temp, so you get hottest readings. At first, I had ordered one from a racing catalog, but the inlet/outlets were only 3/8" and I felt I needed bigger lines in & out. (165-175)... ... . DDG
