Currently, My Valet switch is wired to the foglamp switch. I'd like to put new foglamps on the truck, and get them working again. Therefore, I need to move the valet switch somewhere else. I have a manual trans, but am thinking I could buy an Overdrive lockout switch and wire it to my valet switch solenoid for ON/OFF function.

My question is where is the O/D lockout switch located? Do I have the proper spot available? I'm thinking it's probably just to the left of the foglamp switch and is a little square button just like the foglamp switch.

Any help is appreciated.

At first I didn't really care for the valet switch, but now, I am realizing for daily driving, it's less smokey to drive with the switch disengaged, because it will limit the boost to about 10lbs and keep the smoke down.

Pics are also nice! :)

Thanks,

Andy

Yup, it's to the left of the fog lights. I believe it's a momentary contact switch. I have an illuminated red "smooth" rocker type switch for another application in the same location (fog lamp side on mine). Got it from Radio Shack. I kept the plastic square piece and drilled a hole through it to mount the rocker switch.

Hmmm... well, the location is good, but it sounds like the switch won't work. I don't think a momentary switch will cause it to function properly. Now that I think about it, the OD switch in my 2003 automatic RAM was a momentary...

I may end up using another fog lamp switch ($10 more than the OD switch). Just hate to have two of them exactly the same right next to each other.

Oh well, not the end of the world.
