Where would be the bast place to get the parts to rebuild a 518 auto out of a 92 diesel. I would like to find a rebuild manual also. I have been in autos before, but it has been a really long time. Randy:

The Factory Service Manual has all the info you would need to rebuild the transmission and you get the benefit of the other info for the truck. The FSM has the same exact info that an ATSG (Automotive Transmission Service Group) manual would have, nearly word for word. I recently rebuilt the transmission in my signature, it was my first one and I am pleased with the result. My next one will be a 518 for the same truck.

You can buy a FSM from www.Genosgarage.com $85, or E-bay. I just bought one from e-bay, got it a little cheaper than new.
