never had an auto

getting another truck and might be stuck with one

what mods. are required to handle 500-600hp

and where is a good place to start shopping

Basically a fully built transmission.

All the billet shafts, flexplate, tq converter, valvebody, and upgraded clutches, steels, pistons and bands. Suncoast builds a really tough trans as does NADP. Some guys have had great luck with ATS and DTT. All are pretty close in price, each hase there own little pros and cons. I love my Suncoast. I just started selling NADP. So, I would recommend those two not because I sell them but because I use them.

guess im looking at 3500-4000

i dont even like autos guess if im stuck with one it will be time for a 4500/5600 swap

thanks for the info

man i could see 2000-2500 cause thats what ive put in 4500's but double hurts

thanks again

Twice the price for 3 times the performance. Towing or racing or just hauling the mail the auto is the way to go fast. I used to be a 6 speed guy all the way, but with wanting to go fast you just can't. If you want to have a lot of hp towing, clutches are a SOB. Thats why I went over to the auto.
