Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Got a 2k dually with 47re auto trans, no mods 225miles on it now problem started back in january with 185k miles. ,
got in truck one morning and all i had was 3rd gear and reverse, no over drive or lockup or 1st or 2nd
no problems ever with anything on it before
so I took to dodge dealer and they said it needed complete wiring harness at a cost of 2200 bucks, I said forget it!
called a guy and he said to check relay on fuse panel and see if good, it tested good then he said to see if I had voltage going to trans terminal at trans, so I did and had NO voltage, so I just jumped trans relay at the big terminals and got back 4th, and overdrive, but I have to pull linkage down to get 2nd and sometimes first even works if im loaded up heavy, been drivn this truck hauln cars for nearly a year this way but I want it right so anybody know what might be causing it? is the computer bad? the wiring must be working or it wouldnt of thrown voltage to the trans with jumper wire, any ideas guys?
