First off I need to appoligize to HillCountryKid, When I registered TDR mistakenly put my info under his ID# so I ended up getting his PMs and using his user ID. I called TDR to fix the problem ASAP.
I went to Dodge City in B. R. LA to pick up my truck today. They said the problem was water in the PCM connector but no codes were set. I was opimistic based on Gary Schneuer reply "thank you Gary" that maybe that was all it was. BUT, when I got on I-10 she would not go into OD!! Due to traffic this was the first time I could get up to speed to see if it was ok.
Upon return to the dealership after taking the service writer for a test drive I checked the fluid and found it 1 1/2 " above max. full mark. The fluid this time was darker than before also. Dealership called for a rental car so I could get back home (45 miles) and have some wheels to get to work. I thought this was good of them.
Now I am worried that if they say it is the PCM that was bad and only replace it is my trans going to bite the big one while I'm on the road with the family this summer pulling the camper to Yellowstone?
