Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) auto trans

The other day I had to jump across traffic with a little to much loud pedal. The back tires broke loose as I crossed traffic and then the truck would not shift properly, no first or o. d. . After the truck sat for a few hours it shifted fine. Should I be worried about internal damage or just a sporadic glitch in the computer??

That has never happened to me but I do remember a post similar to that. I haven't spent much time here lately. Hopefully someone can point you to it.

Have you changed fluid and what did you replace it with?

Amsoil everything, @ 40,000 since trans fluid change(not much heavy pulling in this time as I don't need to pull my fifth-wheel as much these days. )
