I am on my third dodge diesel, this one being a 2008 QC 4x4 Dually with the 6. 7 and the 6 speed auto transmission. Most of the time when I jump in my truck, start it up, put it in reverse and start to back up, it will 'slip' or 'jump'. It just doesn't feel 'right' to me. Sometimes its a 'binding' feeling, almost like someone hit the brake briefly after it starts rolling backward. There is no other indication of a problem, and the truck seems to run fine, and I have no problems pulling my 5er. I have about 7k on the truck. At 500 miles, I put on the 5-er and went for a trip - about 2 hours into the trip the CEL came on and stayed on the rest of the day, but was out the next day and has never returned. I am not close to my dealer, so I have not had it checked for codes. I guess my question is, should I be concerned with this transmission issue?

Thanks - Jeff
