Automatic floor shift

Anyone have a suggestion for getting a more secure feel when shifting without moving vision from whats in front of the truck to the dash. I hit a good bump in knee high grass while shifting and almost hit reverse. I've been thinking about a floor shift mod. ,Summit has plenty of raw materials and my dealer's parts dept. i. d. 'd a transfer case selector arm for a factory look. Can probally fit everything inside the factory plastic housing and the cable from the steering Coulomb may be left intact to allow dash to display correct gear,and there are lots of good places to mount the od switch. If there is a valve body mod. that can index 2/3 separated that would make this trans very workable for in between the 4500/5600 vs. 47re/48re gap. Anyone willing to experiment with this, I'm in !
