Hi all.

I just noticed today that my headlights were on in broad daylight. The selector is set to "A. " Is this something I can take care of myself? Any ideas? I don't want them on all the time.

Thanks.

Turn the headlight switch out of the auto (A) position: rotate right one click to the O (see page 123 of the owner's manual)

Really? Turning the switch to O turns them off? Thanks for that.

I suspect the ambient light sensor is faulty. Does anyone have any experience with that?

How much "stuff" do you have on the dash?? The sensor is up by the windshield in the middle, if you have it covered, the lights will be on.

Not sure why you would want to have them turned off because it is such a great safety issue, but I think what you are seeing are daytime running lights and if that is the case you need to go to the dealer and have them go into the export mode and turn them off. I see folks driving without lights on in all kinds of weather like fog, rain and snow not to mention sun up and sun down conditions. Driving with no lights or parking lights makes it hard for other drivers to see you and puts us both at risk and that is why I looked into how to turn them on with the help of this forum. I hope you reconsider and leave them turned on for safety reasons.
