Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I need an education before choosing an automatic with overdrive for the 4bt swap into my Grand Wagoneer.
What overdrive automatics were used in the first and second generation trucks?
Do they all mount to the transfercase the same way? Or was there a change? I was told '94-up transmissions will bolt right up to my Jeep NP228. Can anyone confirm or expound on that.
I heard the early overdrives had problems, but I don't know details.
When did the transmissions become electronicly controlled? I won't have a computer on my engine. I could ad a sensor if needed
