Automatic Tow Rating????

If you compare 2 identical trucks, say a 2500 4X4 auto, and a HO 6 spd, the difference in towing is substantial. Now if you mildly bomb the rig, say DD II's, Deluxe Blue Chip Wizard Fuel Mgmt Box. mild turbo upgrade from Piers, and of course a modified transmission - wouldn't this setup be more than what a 6 spd can handle?

Depends what you think handling means , faster stronger able to pull a load or a big fiver . Long haul short spring ,Dino or drag-in. . Its all in how use the power and how long you want to keep it or how much you want to spend on time and money . lol Ron Bissett in LOUISVILLE KY. :-{} Oo.

Yes, that setup would be way more than what a stock 6pd could do, and alot easier to drive to boot.
