I don't have my manual and was wondering the mileage to dump the fluid on a 2001 automatic. Dealer wanted 150 and 100 for valve adjustment. I have 42 on it now. Should I get the vavles done while it is in there? He said 50,000 for valves. How much fluid is there? Should I just do it myself? Thanks!

get a MagHytech Double Deep and drain every 15,000. You can use the quick disconnect, a long hose, and let her run and dump new in to flush the TQ. That way I did it and I used 20 quarts - well Rip did it for me at Source Automotive). Don't worry yet about the valves, as Cummins allows 150,000 on initial-which may be long - but your mileage is to little IMO.

diesel dog, dont worry about valve adjustment. my truck has 292000km. checked twice they were hardly out enough to do. its true cummins allows 150,000k before the first adjustment. enjoy the ride.
