Had posted earlier and several others had also posted about their auto "hick-uping" under little throttle between first and second gear. I took Sassy (trucks name) to Glenn E Thomas in Long Beach to have the problem fixed on Monday. Today they finally call and say it's ready. All under warranty but they tell me that it would have cost me 2K if it wasn't. Said they replaced the hard seals and clutches, t/converter and flushed cooler and lines. "Hick-uping" seems to be different now. Before it was in and out of second and now it just seems to be "jerky" going into second. Might this be because it needs to "break-in"? Other than that, shifts are still "mushy" for third and O/D.
After I picked her up, went to Chervon for fuel and just put ten bucks in to get me back to my usual filling station. Sassy was on "E", put ten bucks worth of fuel in and hit the E-way. Fuel gauge reads almost full, so I'm thinking the fuel really foamed up. Get back to San Clemente to fill up and it only takes thirteen bucks. Can fuel pumps make mistakes like that?
I'm pi**ed about the transmission and I'm not impressed with Glenn E Thomas either. Not only because of the transmission, but mostly because of how I was treated from start to finish. Another question, aren't you supposed to get a loaner vehicle while having warranty work done? I had to pay over a hundred bucks for the rental!
Seems like there was something more only I'm so ticked I can't remember. Will post again if I remember and to all you who respond, thanks. At least this site is very helpful and tells it how it is. Sorry for the long post.

Why flush the lines,if there was any trash it is in the converter also????????????????They do make machines to do a complete flush$$$ and most shops don't owne one.

tdrmbramr,
The only thing I think with flushing the lines is because they had the transmission out, replaced seals and the t/c. Also might be to make sure nothing was plugging the lines. Since it was a dealership, they probably had a machine to do it.
