I could not decide so I sold my 2000 3500QC 4x4 CTD auto and bought a new 2002 3500RC 4x4 ETH/DEE :D

Now I don't have to worry with the upgrade;) . This thing is a beast

Bob, if I bought a DTT then the ATS guys would of felt I made a mistake and if I bought an ATS the DTT guys would of felt I made a mistake. This way I'm over here on the sidelines with the row your own guys :D Plus this 6 speed is the transmission I originally wanted with my CTD Oo.

Pit Bull, At least you got the RED one! :D

That's the color that I originally wanted :D

South Bend Con OFe ;) When needed. But I'm a daily driver type so the original might last awhile :) Unless I decide to start pullin stumps with it.

You coulda just bought a Goerend unit. Then *both* the ATS and DTT adherents would unite and say you made a mistake.

And you thought the ATS and DTT camps could never agree on anything. :D

Wrong... . One of those would have given the thumbs up because they could never agree on anything. :D

Here's my 2 cents

Dont know any thing about the ATS trans. I do have a DTT unit, and I love it. The people at DTT are wonderful and build a good product. I put my own trans in and needed alot of tech support, and they were great. I even bothered them about stuff that wasn't trans related, and they were glad to oblidge. My truck is over 450hp the trans is holding up great,I race it often, knock on wood. It even picked up a couple miles per gallon after the install. Tell Bill what you have and he will tell you what you need. He really knows his bussiness Merv

I will shed alot of light on this subject. I now own a 2001 with a DTT built transmission... . Hotrod. And a 03 with a stick. HMMMMM which one will I drive... . Both... . which one is better niether..... I don't have and ATS:D :D :D

Pit Bull,

Automatic transmissions have been very good to me. First in a dealership and then in my own repair business the autos paid my house payment and put braces on my kids :) :). I called automatic transmission repair, my bread and butter. That's why I made the same decision as you on my own diesel trucks. One clutch and strong, manual gears :D :D. Larry

I agree, I don't have a lot of money for repairs from racing and the need to upgrade/rebuild (wish I did). So the 6speed with the HO will work just fine for me. If anybody wants to race I will send them to one of the DTT or ATS boys for an ASS WHIPPING :D

Pit Bull,

Congrats on the new truck, You are alot smarter than alot of us would like to admit and a better man for it.

Thanks Ron :) I figure at least no one will yell at me for my transmission choice ;) This thing is fun to shift.
