Mine arrived today. It's just like my old one w/o the tweeter, but with a spot for the tweater sorta stuck on there. I'm not sure if I like it or not:

I might send it back for the two-guage one. Dunno yet.

I have been thinking about one of these. Now that I see it in a photo, not so sure. The support between the tweeter and the bottom gauge pod looks pretty slim. Could be the angle. I think I will stick with my two gauge for a while until I see one installed, and find someplace else to mount my third gauge, like that cubby hole in the dash that doesn't get used for anything.

If the gauge panel was rotated counterclockwise about 45 degrees you would be better able to see how structurally sound the panel really is. At first I thought there wasn't enough clearance between the edge of the tweeter grille and the pocket relief for same... I measured it and found it was a very precise fit (I also double checked this with the speaker pre-installed). Remember what you are asking here, you want to mount three gauges and a tweeter in a very small allowable space. I believe a very good compromise has been met in order to facilitate the installation of all that we ask. I for one, am pleased. #ad

RobG, Does Autometer mfr. the pod? What size are the holes? I think that I may install gauges from different mgr. Like Westach for boost/egr, Isspro for trans. temp. and maybe a fuel pressure from someone else. I use the cubby hole for my sunglasses.

Mine's installed, and I like it. no problems with the structural soundness of it, it rivets to the factory pillar underneath of it. Only bummer there was we had to trim off a LOT of the tweeter protusion on the factory pillar to make the new gauge pod fit over it. I chickened out, made my buddy Stack'd & Jack'd do it (he was a big help with the installation). He used a Dremel mototool, but a Sawzall probably would of been faster #ad

I think I'm gonna order a replacement factory A-Pillar without the tweeter to hack up instead of doing so with my original one. I'll also try to get that interior spraypaint so I can paint it this time.

I really wish somebody would just make a full replacement piece. <sigh>

no kidding, RobG... sure wish they did make a full replacement piece. I'm not worried about hacking up the one I have, I can get a new one anytime. I figure the gauges are there to stay. I'm not selling the truck, but if I do, then new truck, new gauges.
 
I have installed a couple of these things at the shop... Really crappy if you ask me. You guys are better off getting something else. There is way too much crammed onto this thing.
 
If this rivets to the orig, how about the 2 guage? I thought we were going to get the "full" replacement pillar pod - not an 'add-on'. I waited for a FULL pillar replacement and now it looks like all I can get is a 'overlay'. Might as well just get the 2 guage and mount it above the spkr.
