Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Autometer 5727 elec. Oil pressure unit.

I searched through the forums to try to figure out where to mount the oil pressure sensor on my 99 2nd gen truck. It looks like a lot of people put it on top of the housing of the oil filter. I was just wondering if the sensor fits there nicely or must there be adapters it looks a little tight. I haven't bought the unit yet just curious. My factory oil pressure sensor is acting up so I would like to try to add something else for more reliable engine oil pressure on my truck
