Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) autometer fuel pressure gauge ????

My fuel pressure gauge stopped working after about 4-5 years. Has anyone else experianced this. I dont know if it is the sending unit or the electronic box. I did clean and check the electrical connection on the sending unit with no luck. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I think its the Gauge it self. Mine runs very hot all the time. What pressure range is yours?? Mine is 0-30psi and if I remove it from the mount you can see a black spot, caused from the heat it generates on the back of it. I went from a 0-100psi which went south due to the heat.
