I had a bd pump and a autometer fuel pressure gauge put on. all was well for a few months then fuel pressure started spiking badly. i saw a post on here about that and it was said i needed a snubber between gauge and fuel sorce. i contacted autometer and they said a snubber and a steel braided line from sorce to snubber. parts are ordered. the question they didnt answer is did this hurt my guage. when i turn on the key, the gauge is at 9 psi. this is a 30 psi gauge. while driving the gauge is where 34-35 psi would be if it went that high. is the gauge ruined? its a phantom series. robert

Robert,

I was the guy asking advice on this fuel pressure gauge ( I too bought the ridculously high priced Autometer Phantom). Whoever wrote me back in that thread told me to make sure to have a snubber, and another said the 06 doesn't need one because it doesn't spike. Hope whoever that person is chimes in, but from what I remember he said he toasted a few of these gauges. But I thought it just died on him... Shane
