I'd like to do the Pyro install this weekend and can't seem to find a place to put this box. I'd rather have it in the cab, but where? Under the dash is kinda packed, guide me oh wise ones.

I actually took that panel off that is below the steering wheel (there are 3 bolts on the bottom of it) and mounted mine with double sided tape to the little cross beam. If you take the panel off... you'll know what I mean. The little box fits just perfect inside of there.

Ditto with K_Arts post. The only difference with my mount is I did drill two 1/8" holes in the cross brace behind the knee bolster to mount the box with screws.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what is the Pyro Interface box. Is this the Autometer box that allows you to hook up 2 probes to one gauge? Thanks

I just finished installing my boxes (2 pyros) behind that panel too. I taped the boxes to each other (slightly offset so I can still get to the jumper block's screws) and then taped it all to the left side. The right side has the painless 7 wire fuse block, and there's still plenty of room down there for the coils of as of yet unused wire. Now I just need to drill the holes for the pyros.

The autometers have a black box that the pyrometer and gauge hook into. It's the brains of the pyrometer. The ones I have are for just single pyrometers.

I mounted mine on the kick panel, drivers side. It clears the brake pedal easily, I can get to it if need be, and it was easy to pull wires/leads to since the fuse box is 10" away.
Works for me!

depends on where you are mounting your guages... if in the pillar, the best place is a little cubby hole behind a metal framing which is hidden by the kick-panel... i didn't mount it, just stuffed it with all the other guage wires in there (barely enough room for the box and the rats nest of wires. . no worry about it moving around)

Yep:
Take that cover off and you will see a metal brace up by the steering column. I drilled a hole there and its easy to get to.
Also the interface black box is what the wires hook into. Little screws that tighten onto the end of the wires. The pyro. probes two wires go there also.
