It seems like in between 600 and 1000 degrees my needle starts to shake? Does this happen to anybody else? It's under moderate acceleration. How often do you pull out the probe to clean it?

Ditto what B65 said, however my boost gauge will occassionally "vibrate" at times, I attribute this to when it would read well past its capabilities when running my box on level 6!

Clayton,

I have been using Autometer gages for the past 20 years, on trucks, cars, sandrails and racecars. They are the finist instruments money can by. I have all Autometer gages, the Ultra Lite series, no it is not normal for the needle to shake, any time. Autometer has a warranty for the life of the gage, just give them a call. They will mostlikely want you to ship it back to them, so be prepared, but they will get the problem fixed.

Clayton, I had a similar problem with an autometer pyro, but it was worse, when I turned any light on the pyro would go to 0. I called autometer and they said it was probably a problem with the ground, I had used a common ground for the gauge light as well as the pyro, this was on my 91, so I ran a ground to the battery and it solved the problem

My boost gauge (AUTOMETER PRO COMP ULTRA LITE) Vibrated violently in my 02 above 15 psi. . Never replaced it just laughed at the SOB>
