Autometer Steering Column Mount

Has anyone tried the new Autometer Steering Column Mount? I am thinking of using it with the new SPA Technique Dual Digital Gauge (EGT/Boost). Then adding a fuel pressure gauge under the dash on a Donut Kit from Geno's. I am leaning towards this set up since I didn't really like the looks of the A-pillar. The fuel pressure gauge will be a little out the way to view, but I don't think it is something you need to constantly monitor.

I'll second that. I was ready to order one but the wife is afraid it will block her view of the cluster during those brief times she drives. Anyone with a short significant other tried the steering column mount?

We put one in a truck for the picture and to see just what it covered up. It actually turned out pretty nice. We will be installing one in Lawrences truck today for another gauge.

One of these mounts is on my Christmas list. I plan to put a boost gauge in it. Still deciding on which brand to go with. I want analog gauges that match our dash as close as possible.

It's a nice set up.....

I moved my fuel pressure guage to the steering mount. It does block the "wait to start" dash indicator, but I just look around it.

That's the same setup I plan on installing. I'm not a real fan of the A-pillar gauges, so I called Geno's on Monday(12-10) to order one. They're on back order for 2 or 3 weeks. I guess I'll have to wait just a little longer.

QUESTION

24V-DSL (or anyone else who knows for sure), does the column mount also block the O/D OFF light?



..... just curious (I may want to install another SPA combination gauge)

It's real close, John.....

Not totally blocked, but I find myself "leaning" just a smidge for full view. I would not let this deter me. I really like having a guage there.



One thought..... If the SPA night lighting is too bright for you then this might be distracting???

its an older guy and he liked everything about it... ... we will put a spa in it later..... so just an isspro right now, fit and finish on this one is awesome

I can't tell from the picture but is the mount a replacement for the steering column cover, or is it seperate and screw down to the top of the present cover? Thanks!

just like all gauge works stuff its an over lay, but it fit nice, use 2 sided tape, (more than they gave me) and only 2 of the ratcheting push pins... . it fit very well, customer didnt even want it painted... . we will see how one comes out painted soon
