<font color=blue>Tired of being limited to 35 psi on your UltraLite Boost gauge???? Then read on... ...

Ok heres the deal, so far I have six people committed on buying this gauge. There is a one time $150 "Screening" charge to have a gauge custom built. With six people its down to $25 a piece to cover it.

So as of right now its $25 + Gauge cost for each person.

We are ordering Directly from Autometer on this.

You can have it placed on a "black" face if you prefer, we have two people doing this. I can't say how well it will look because frankly they don't exhist! (not yet)

AutoMeter Ultra Lite
2 1/16th Inch
0 to 50 Psi Boost gauge
(Custom built)

If you want in on this let me know.

See this thread for more detail : Orignal Thread that brought this up

Thank you to those of you that are committed, we are helping each other save a lil money and at the same time we are going to have some very unique gauges!

In the process of getting the costly SPA gauges but my wife will kill me if she finds out. Rookie question... How many gauges do I really need? 3... Boost, EGT and Trans Temp (Auto)? Is that all I need? The two SPA will have four. I have bought the Dual pod A-pillar but if I go with what you all have - where do you put the third gauge? Are the SPA gauges just a luxury? In your opinion what is the best setup at the best price? ... . and yes I will be Bombing.

madmack,

If I were to get 2 SPA gauges, I'd get 1 with boost/egt. For the second I'd get another pressure/temp gauge and set it up for measuring fuel pressure & tran temp.

As for me, I've changed my mine (again) and decided to go with the Auto Meter becuase I just like the looks of analog gauges. I'll use the 3-gauge dash pod and fill it with boost / EGT / fuel pressure (I have a 5-speed manual).

What's the lastest info on our purchase Kat?

<font color=blue>Called them today (Autometer), I'll send out emails when I get home from work this evening. Will also make a "post" with some information.

There is also a possibility of have a vendor cover the screening cost, its still unconfirmed. I will update everyone soon as I can. I was on vacation for a while which is why I have been queit.

I can tell you this tho the art work for it is done. When we place our order it will take 5 to 8 business days to arrive.

If the "committed" people don't get an email from me within the next 24 hours get in touch with me concerning the details.

I'll have more information when I get on my home PC.

The cost of the gauge is "slightly" higher then the 35 PSI gauge. More info forthcoming.....

Kat, Is it too late jump in? If not I would like to get one. Only problem is, I am planning on getting the 'carbon-fiber' series gauges with orange (special order) pointers. I would have piped up sooner but it took about a week to figure out the whole registering process.
BTW how much boost is too much? Ted J. told me that the 35# gauge should be plenty for an ISB. Thanks for all the hard work, keep it up.

No its not too late, I have to make one more phone call to Autometer with three more questions for other members and yourself. Then I have to make a call to the vendor that I am discussing with to pick up the screen charge.

Sometime this evening I should have all the details posted and emailed out to everyone.

<font color=blue>Ongoing negotiations are going on between the vendor and Autometer (just talked to them both) so PLEASE be patient and bare with me, I am trying to get the best price we can for us (with the help of the vendor which will be named later)

I promise you when its all said and done we will have gotten the gauge for the cheapest price possible whichever route we go.

Also the gauges can be further customized (same price) such as black face, black bezel, carbon fiber face (and orange needle). So hopefully this will make everyone happy.

The count is tentatively at 10 people. Possibly 11.

Keep an eye out for more details soon, also my @home email account has proven to be unreliable as of late so if you emailed me and I didn't reply chances are I didn't get it! Please use -- email address removed -- as a "back-up". Thank you for your patience.

<font color=blue>Well it depends on how much you upgrade your engine. Max boost should never be greater the 45psi ever (keep wastegate set at this point if you ever reach it) on the Cummins (which is why we got 0 to 50 psi). The 35 psi gauge will work on a mildly upgraded engine, but there is a need for many to go over 35 psi. I have a 35 psi gauge brand new in the box available for sale if anyone wants it (never got installed)

More details will be revealed soon.

<font color=blue>Nuthing new as of yet. I talked to Autometer today and they are still "negotiating" with the vendor. So just hang in there, I plan to call the vendor and Autometer tomorrow to see how things are progressing. Hopefully by tommorrow afternoon I will have some good news to deliver.
