After reading about the killer dowel pin for a while now I was wondering how many of you have had one go in an auto transmission? Does this problem hit more standards? Is it something that happens when the warranty expires(over 100K)? Ilove my truck and have had it since new and would hate to have something like the KDP kill my engine.

Thanks, Steve

Steve,

The KDP has nothing to do with the transmission type. If you haven't blocked it you may have some bad damage coming your way.

E-mail me for instructions on how to do the tab fix at -- email address removed -- or get hold of illflem to get on the list for the jig fix.

FIX IT NOW!!! When i finally checked mine (illflem & others where yelling up & down the forums to fix it- THANKS) I PULLED IT OUT WITH MY FINGERS. The oil around it was all that was keeping the KDP from falling into the gears!!!!

I have an auto. When I tabbed mine a couple weeks ago it had worked out between 1/8" and 1/4", tapped back in real easy too. Get it done and you'll be much happier!

Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to assasinate the prick I mean pin in the very near future. I'll keep you posted.

Steve
