Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Autozone code reader

My truck has the infamous 0216 code set. I'd like to clear it to see if maybe since I replaced the LP with an AirDog system the code was originally caused by low fuel pressure. The truck runs great.



I stopped by Autozone today on a lark to see if maybe they could clear it. Their reader wouldn't even power up and display when connected to the truck. The Autozone kid connected it up to his car and it operated fine.



So... . the only thing I can think of is maybe I need to disconnect the EZ... maybe?? I did a search here and saw no mention of the need to do that.



Trucks running good right now so I'm not too worried but if the VP is going south, I'd like to be ahead of it.

The Edge being hooked up should have zero effect on the code reader. Before I got my Smarty I had my codes read and erased at Autozone. Might try again with a different employee.
