AUX fuel tank ...what pump and switch needed?

hey gues im building a custom aux tank for my 2007 5. 9 no emissions truck and want to be able to use it just like a secound tank ( IE just flip a switch and be on the secound tank)



so i was woundering if i need to spend the money on a OEM Dodge fuel pump or just use a FAST or something



and how do i wire it to kill the first pump and switch to the secound?? must be a way dont they come with 2 tanks if you want??
 
Dont know about the 2ond fuel tank my aux tank is from aero fuel tanks in corona ca. It has a carter fuel pump and is set on a 12 v timer just a turn of the knob on the timer and it turns on the pump for a 15 min cycle. I make a fuel transfer when my fuel gauge is on a little less than half a tank and it fills it pretty close to full. I dont want it all the way full because it over fill . Aero tank said it would just recycle the fuel its taped into the vent line of the tank but I dont want to try it. I have a light on the dash to tell me its still running because I cant hear the pump running. hope you find this of some help
 
My tank is gravity fed, just turn the valve and it flows into the neck.

When gauge reads full, turn the valve off. Takes about an hour when the main tank is about empty and the aux is full. That is while you are driving.

I got my tank and stuff from Northern tool.
 
I have a 90 gallon custom tank to fit under the tonue cover. Used the Nothern equipment gravity feed connection to the stock tank. The auxilary tank has a manual shut off but I have always just left it on and filled the auxilary tank. No leak, no problems and low cost.
 
i gravity feed through a 2 micron filter to the main tank. i have a valve on the tank but only use it when i change filter
