Any ideas on a good in-the-frame aux fuel tank? I can't use the bed mount / toolbox combos because of my truck camper. I looked around on the web trying to find something like a stock-size tank that would install on the passenger side in same fashion, but didn't have much luck. Don't want to lose the spare tire space either.

Any of you ever put in a tank similar to this??

on minei have 2 tanks ahead of wheeelwells with a skinny tank at front of bed crosswise all plumbed in together. camper gotta sit back 2 inches but wth. gives me xtra 50 gal. got em done at local welding shop at a decent price

That's a great idea muddymess, wonder if it would hurt to take the camper bumpers off the front and let it sit right up against a skinny tank like that? Camper wouldn't have to sit back at all in that scenario, and a strong tank has got to offer better support for the camper than the two rubber bumper stops. Hmmm.

John McIntyre has a trick set-up as well. He claims that he can even store a Rickson spare to boot and he is never without his slide-in! Check out his signature for details.

mike,

my bumpers are removed. cmpr sits against tank cept for a thin piece of rubber mat 48inch wide sitting tween cmpr and tank. wish i had digicam to post pic of the 3tank combo

Their is a vendor offering factory mades for the front/back of the wheel wells. don't remember the name, but they are a utility box vendor.
