Hello everyone

I want to install a switch like this somewhere in the cab on the drivers side. Before i start taking apart the dash has anyone else installed a switch? what is a good location?

In my 2005 I had 2 switches installed on the left side of my steering column just below the dash. Plenty of room behind that little plastic piece, and it can be replaced if you ever remove the switch.

Thanks for the reply. Position 1 or 2?

I had a couple toggles on the plastic trim around the shifter. I also put one on the A pillar for my roof strobe.

EDIT: I should add, having a can or cup in my drink holder made one of mine a little difficult to use.

I have my PacBrake exhaust brake switch in position 1.
I can not see the light on the switch from my normal driving position, the steering wheel blocks it. I would have to lean over to see it. I do like to see if the converter is locked in certain driving conditions. On the other hand, the light does not bother me at night....

Good input superdawg . I think I’m going to opt for the position 2 as I don’t drive at night and I want to make sure I’m in tow haul mode by glancing through the steering wheel.
