Hello guys,

Well, I purchased the surplus 27 gallon blazer tank for my short bed truck. I have made brackets and mounted it where the spare used to be. It mounted up just fine. A larger tank would not fit.

Anyway, I have it like I want it except for the fuel fill. Transfer Flow won't sell just the dual fill neck adapter, so I'm stuck. Anyone with the transfer flow aft axle tank think I could purchase another fill neck from DC and fab up a dual mounting bracket to hold them in the stock location (like the TF setup)??

Thanks for any help!

Chris

I suspect that would work. It would be helpful for you to have a TF dual filler plate to look at. The most difficult part may be fabricating a plate that is the right size, and is flanged in exactly the right manner. You may also need to bend the steel tubes to fit.

Keep in mind, though, that the TF kit comes with both necks. At least mine did. About six months ago, I tossed my OEM filler. Have you considered approaching a truck repair business to order one for you? Might save a lot of work.

Thanks Matt,

I agree with you. I called TF and they will sell me the "replacement parts" if I can give them the part number off of my tank. Of course, I don't have a tank to get that number from.

I think that would be much easier than trying to make my own also. I am just looking for opinions and suggestions.

Thank you again,

Chris

If you are willing to chance it, perhaps the model number for the unit on mine might work. It is a Dodge Ram 38 Gal Aft Axle 010-09004, Rev. H.

I believe that you would need the entire filler neck assembly. It replaces the OEM unit. I tried to find the original instructions for the part name, but they didn't leap out at me.
