Availability of 305HP Option in California

As a California resident I'm interested if anybody knows whether the subject engine option will be available in CA. If so, will the HP be reduced from the 49 state version?

According to Steve's online article only the standard output engine will be available in CA until Jan. 2004, at which time the engines are fitted with ERG.
