Avatar help

I have never used a discussion board before that has avatars and am stuck understanding them. In the avatar section, it says heres the list to chose from, and there aren't any there. Also says custom avatars can be used, but doesn't explain how. Another question, is there any way to make the posters avatar photos larger for viewing as some are too small to see?

Seems as if we are the only two guys that can't figure it out, eh?



Hopefully the TDR Admin that offered help to me will answer soon and help us both figure it out. PM me if you figure it out and I'll do likewise. Frustraiting ain't it?

I have one selected from an avatar site, but can't seem to figure out how to transfer it. I have a Mac. I wonder if that makes a difference. The site says to left click and then right click but the iMac mouse only has 1 click! Anybody know a way around this?

It seems an icon is missing somewhere? rrausch, you got farther than I did cause I can't see any list.

User CP --> Edit Options --> Change Avatar

Select "Use custom avatar"

Select "Choose" and choose the file you want to upload. It must be within the limits specified.

Select "Submit Modifications"

I've found a lot of avatar sites on-line but they ALL have Av's which are bigger than 50X50. Is there any way to "shrink" a bigger avatar?

Got my avatar... got it re-sized... figured out how to get it posted and now it shows up. Hey this is pretty neat.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for or not but, I did a search on the TDR for "avatar" in this forum and came up with 3 one of which is titled "american flag avatar" I think. Try a search and see. I'm also testing if the instructions worked for me or not. If there's a flag flyin below Joe Mc I think it worked.
