Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Just installed the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 in my 2005 3500 Laramie. 1500 bucks on line. Simple bypass built in to unlock all features while driving. Hardest part was cutting the outside panel to fit. Everything else was straight forward. Don't let anyone tell you it will not fit. I attempted to have name brand installers put the thing in and they told me it was not possible. I went back up to get a cable from them and they freaked when they saw it in the truck. To say it is an improvement over the RB4 is a massive under statement. The RB4 is actually wider than the AVIC so there are holes on each side I have not patched yet. I may install some type of audio slots there to make use of the tremendous number of outputs and inputs on the back of the unit that I am currently not using. That will be more fun on another day. For now I am just enjoying the unit.
