avitars shrink????

why did the avitars get so small? it is difficult to even see them now! why the sudden change without notice? did I miss something?#@$%!:{

I didn't make any change to the size of avatars at all. Nothing has changed on this end. Avatars have been 50x50 (or 20,000 bytes whichever is smaller) forever.

I could easily fit 9 of them in a grid layout inside the box on the left is that normal? they dont even reach to the top of the box?

That sounds about right. There's a carriage return before the picture which is what causes that space there - it looked wierd if the avatar butted right up against the header. They've always been set to the size they are (except when we had them completely turned off). Yours is 50x38 btw - so it could be 12 pixels taller than it is. Have you gotten a new PC that is running at a higher resolution than your older one or turned up the resolution on your existing PC? That would case the pictures to be smaller on your screen.

thanks for the response. I think it may be an illusion as I have been more active on other boards lately and gotten used to the larger ones they use, so when I swapped mine out it looked odd. Someday I'll figure out all this tech stuff and they'll change it again, LOL!
