Anyone have the MTX Thunderform speakers under rear seat?

Here in the NW, we have been in a serious winter holding pattern, with snow, ice, and more snow. Lots of slick roads, wrecks, and SP advising stay home. So I did, until I had to rescue my daughter. She went out to dinner with some friends in Seattle, and got back to West Seattle, to find she could not get mom's 300c out of its parking spot. Since we were watching her daughter, we thot it was a good idea to get her, rather than leave her.

Now, I have driven the CTD in the snow before, but it was always the very well maintained I-90 corridor.

Last night was 4 to 6 inches, on top of several earlier snowfalls, and wind blowing and drifting. This truck handles the loose stuff so well, it was more like running on gravel, than slick stuff. I had no idea having that much weight on the front axle, would work so well. It went where I put it, at whatever speed I chose. What a great truck.

Ya they are great, Years ago when I had my 99 this area was shut down for day because no one could go out but in that time I never stayed home. The main reason I try to leave my 06 at home when weather is bad to to keep some idiot from running in to it.

Hoot I just viewed your page. It is awesome. I have a 2004. 5. Lots of ideas for me. ??? How hard on the truck is a plow?

outfitted with the proper tires these trucks are truly great for driving in bad winter conditions. The best attribute is to have plenty of weight(+500lbs) in the bed over the rear axle otherwise there is no incentive for the rear tires to bite in the ice.

I don't plow commercial so I can't testify to how hard it is on the truck but I use it a few times every year. Last year I had a contract for a residential street and a church parling lot along with my 800 ft + driveway and relatives places. It really hold the plow well. I put about 600 lbs of tube sand in the bed.

Was out at my B-I-L's today, he has an 03 2500, like mine, he just had the pit dump a 1/2 yard of gravel in the back of the truck. Said it holds it down very well. He is about 500' higher than me, no plow for about 300 yds of driveway.
