Here in the NW, we have been in a serious winter holding pattern, with snow, ice, and more snow. Lots of slick roads, wrecks, and SP advising stay home. So I did, until I had to rescue my daughter. She went out to dinner with some friends in Seattle, and got back to West Seattle, to find she could not get mom's 300c out of its parking spot. Since we were watching her daughter, we thot it was a good idea to get her, rather than leave her.
Now, I have driven the CTD in the snow before, but it was always the very well maintained I-90 corridor.
Last night was 4 to 6 inches, on top of several earlier snowfalls, and wind blowing and drifting. This truck handles the loose stuff so well, it was more like running on gravel, than slick stuff. I had no idea having that much weight on the front axle, would work so well. It went where I put it, at whatever speed I chose. What a great truck.
